Native to South Africa, Devil’s Claw has been used for centuries for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic powers helping to combat a wide variety of ailments. The main ingredient in Devil's Claw is harpagoside which is found in abundance in the plants root system especially the tubers. It is believed to have analgesic properties but it is the beta-sitosterol also present that has an anti-inflammatory effect.
